Pacilio Capital is a family business. Every property we acquire, every partnership we form, and every dollar we earn is the product of work done alongside people we love. That perspective shapes how we think about giving.

We don't spread our support thin across causes we barely know. We back a small number of organizations we have a genuine connection to — the kind where we know the people doing the work and can see exactly where the help lands.

Fighting Pretty

Fighting Pretty
501(c)(3) Nonprofit  ·  Portland, Oregon  ·  Founded 2013

This one is personal. Fighting Pretty was founded by Kara Frazier, first cousin to our founder Jonathan Pacilio — and watching it grow from a single idea into a national organization has been one of the more meaningful things we've had a front-row seat to.

Fighting Pretty helps women battling all types of cancer, at any stage of treatment, feel strong and beautiful. The organization began with a simple gesture: while Kara was in treatment, a friend gave her a pair of mini pink boxing gloves as a reminder of her own strength. Those gloves became the symbol of everything the organization does.

Every woman needs to be reminded how strong and beautiful she is — especially if she's battling cancer.

Today, Fighting Pretty runs several programs: Pretty Packages, hand-assembled care packages sent to women in treatment anywhere in the world; the Strength & Beauty Program, which partners with hospitals, cancer clinics, and support groups to deliver kits of mini boxing gloves, paraben-free lip products, and resources directly to patients; and free Feel Good events that exist for no reason other than to celebrate and pamper women in the middle of the hardest year of their lives.

20,000+
Pretty Packages sent since 2013, across 50 states and 30 countries
30,000+
Women reached through the hospital Strength & Beauty Program since 2020
2,000+
Volunteers who have helped assemble packages and kits

We support Fighting Pretty because it does something unusually direct. There is no long chain between a donation and a person it helps — a contribution becomes a box, and that box lands on the doorstep of a woman who needs to be reminded that she is still herself.

Help a woman remember how strong she is
